Location

Thailand is considered one of the most beautiful and popular destinations in the world. It has many breathtaking islands, the largest of which is Phuket (the pearl of the Andaman). Services include 2 major international hospitals, an international school, 5 world class golf courses, many shopping malls, hundreds of restaurants, and not to forget the crisp sparkling beaches, where the waters are crystal clear.

The area of Chalong Bay is currently one of the most highly sought locations in which to make a property investment. This natural, gently curving bay offers residents ample opportunity for aqua sports and has direct access to islands just off the coast, as well as those further across the sea such as Phi Phi islands. The stunning landscape of Phang Nga Bay is also easily within reach. Whether you choose to keep your own boat handily moored nearby, go on a sea canoe tour or charter a motorboat or traditional longtail boat, exploring the waters just on your doorstep will be a temptation that is hard to resist.

With Chalong marina nearby that is ideal for evening promenades and restaurants offering mouth-watering fresh seafood, those who are lucky enough to live in the vicinity will also find plenty on dry land to keep them occupied in the immediate area. There is a lively night market to walk to at nearby Tharnthong Circle, and a variety of day markets only a few minutes away. The quaint, old-fashioned capital of the island, Phuket City, lies approximately five minutes drive from Khao Khad Bay Villas. Here, visitors will find that life is still lived by many local residents in the old-fashioned way, with diverse small shops to explore and the famed Sino-Portuguese architecture being preserved. This is the ideal place to participate with Thai people in their festivals, such as the famed Vegetarian Festival, Songkran, the Thai New Year celebration and Loy Krathong.

For those who prefer the air-conditioned comfort of ‘mall shopping’, Phuket now offers several choices, including ‘Central Festival’. This complex has enough retail outlets to satisfy just about every need, including a large cinema where you can watch English language movies. The requirements of families with children of every age are well met in Phuket. There are schools with English language programmes, aimed at both native speakers and those with English as a second language. The British Curriculum International School, situated twenty minutes drive going from Khao Khad Bay Villas towards the north end of the island, educates children until they are eighteen using, as the name suggests, the British Curriculum system of learning.

Still on an international theme, the standards of medical treatment in Phuket are well appreciated by the foreign community, as well as being an added attraction for visitors looking for affordable, yet high quality care. There are two large international hospitals in Phuket City, as well as a number of medical and dental clinics situated all over the island. Phuket International Airport has frequent flights to both airports in Bangkok, plus other destinations in South East Asia and some to cities elsewhere. With improvements to the roads being a priority, the drive from Khao Khad Bay Villas to the airport only takes around 30 minutes these days. International business commuters will find that having a home base in Phuket combines quality of living with convenience of travel.
